Mumbai:  The UAA Dhirubhai Ambani Lifetime Achievement Award was today given to former nobel laureate Professor Robert H Grubbs, at a function held in the United States today. Grubbs is the Victor and Elizabeth Atkins professor of Chemistry at California Institute of Technology in USA.

RIL Executive Director Nikhil R Meswani gave away the award at a function in US, Reliance Industries Ltd said in a statement.

Grubbs is a nobel awardee in 2005 for Chemistry. The award carries a citation and USD 20,000 for scientific achievements.

The award was instituted by the alumni association of the Mumbai University Institute of Chemical Technology in association with RIL.
