Four ULFA militants arrested

Bangalore: Four militants of United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) have been arrested from Mahadevapura area in the city, police said today.

While two of the militants were arrested yesterday, the remaining were arrested today, police said.

They were arrested after a search operation was carried out following tips from Manipur Military Intelligents, police said.

The militans were nabbed from different locations as they were staying with their friends in the city. Interrogation was on and more associates were expected to be picked up soon, police said.

Police was investigating why the ULFA militants came to the city.

Those arrested have been identified as Johny, Jiphen Singh, Thallabe and Megha Chander and they were expected to be sent back to Assam tonight, police said.
