Pakistan Air Force jet crashes, no casualty
Saturday, June 21, 2008 11:56 [IST]

Islamabad: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jet crashed in Punjab province on Saturday but there was no loss of life or damage to property, the PAF said.

The F-7 aircraft was on an operational training mission when it came down some 25 km from the industrial city of Faisalabad, an air force spokesman said.

The pilot and the instructor ejected safely, he said. The PAF said that a technical problem could be the cause of the crash. A board of enquiry has been formed to investigate the accident. The aircraft caught fire and was destroyed, according to TV reports. This is the second crash of a PAF aircraft in the same area in two months.
