Dhaka: Bangladesh president Iajuddin Ahmed has been admitted to a military hospital with high fever, Bangabhaban presidential palace sources said.

He was suffering from high viral fever since morning and was admitted to the CMH (combined military hospital) shortly before midnight.

Military doctors preferred septuagenarian Ahmed to be on observation overnight.
