Kuala Lumpur: India has revised its visa fees for Malaysian visitors beginning next month, even as both countries step up their economic ties and seek to attract each other's tourists and investors.

Transit visas valid for 15 days will cost 76 ringgit ($24), The Star newspaper reported on Thursday.

The cost of a multiple entry tourist visa for six months will be 152 ringgit ($48) while a multiple entry student visa for five years will cost 285 ringgit ($90).
