New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday reached the house of dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in Noida to recreate the sequence of events on the night of the murder of their teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, officials said.

"Compounder Krishna's custody ends today and before that he was taken to the crime scene (Talwar's residence) to recreate the sequence of the crime," a CBI official said.

Aarushi, 14, was found dead in her Jal Vayu Vihar home in Noida on May 16. The Noida police initially named Hemraj as the prime suspect and even sent out teams to trace him. But his body was found the next day on the terrace of the house.

The Noida police arrested Talwar on May 23 for the twin murders. The CBI took over the case on June 1 after the Noida police drew flak for shoddy investigations.

Earlier this month, CBI took into custody Krishna, the medical assistant of Rajesh. He was also taken to the Jal Vayu Vihar apartment on Friday. On Thursday, a court here turned down the bail plea of Rajesh, who was arrested for allegedly murdering Aarushi and Hemraj, and sent him to jail till July 2.

District and Sessions Judge Mahendra Kumar Jain rejected the plea after hearing arguments from counsel for Rajesh and the CBI. Rajesh's counsel Satish Tamta submitted before the court that the dentist had already spent 33 days in jail and that the police had obtained his custody only on the basis of his statement, which was not admissible in court.

He also contended that Rajesh had been fully cooperating with the investigations and had also been subjected to an array of scientific tests - which had not established his guilt.

CBI counsel R K Saini opposed the bail plea, saying it was a "grave and blind case". Talwar's bail plea was previously rejected on June 7. The CBI is yet to zero in on the motive for the crime despite interrogating a number of people and also arresting on June 13 the dentist's medical assistant Krishna.
