Lucknow: More than 100 people caught cutting trees illegally across Uttar Pradesh have paid fines totalling Rs.200,000, an official said Saturday.
The offenders were caught following a special drive that covered Lucknow, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Faizabad districts, Divisional Forest Officer Mukesh Kumar told IANS.
