UN commission to probe Bhutto assassination

Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Friday the United Nations would form a commission to probe the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, according to a TV report.

Qureshi, after holding a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York, told reporters that Ban had assured him of setting up a commission to probe Bhutto's assassination, Geo TV said. Benazir Bhutto, former leader of opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, was killed on Dec 27 last year at the Liaquat Bagh park in Rawalpindi.
