Rebel BJP MP reiterates decision to vote for UPA
Tuesday, July 22, 2008 12:05 [IST]

New Delhi: Somabhai Gandalal Koli Patel, rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Gujarat, on Tuesday reiterated his decision to support the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) during the trust vote in Parliament.

"I have decided to support the motion since the BJP has misbehaved with me and I am not going to change my decision at all," Patel told reporters in parliament houses on Tuesday.

Patel said he had decided to vote for the UPA since he had been kicked out of the BJP and the party leadership's withdrawal of suspension order was not enough to compensate for his “humiliation”.
