Curfew still imposed in Amarnath Valley.

Amarnath:Curfew enters second day in Srinagar Srinagar,  Curfew remained imposed for the second day today in Srinagar district in Jammu and Kashmir with no untoward incident being reported so far from anywhere in the Valley. Curfew was imposed yesterday in the Kashmir Valley after a protest march by fruit growers and separatists in an attempt to march towards Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) capital Muzaffarabad against the "economic blockade" turned violent. Prominent Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz (60) and three others were killed and hundreds of people injured in yesterday s police firing. "The situation in tense but under control in the state capital and adjoining areas. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the Valley," police said. Aziz s body which was taken to Jamia Masjid in the interior city is likely to be buried at the Eidgah martyrs graveyard today. Yesterday s march by Kashmir Fruit Growers Association, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Traders Federation, both factions of Hurriyat Conference and the PDP followed a call for Muzaffarabad chalo to "neutralise" the economic blockade "enforced" by the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti, spearheading the shrine land stir in the Jammu region.
