Ahmedabad: The arrests of ten SIMI activists including the alleged mastermind Mufti Abu Bashir, is not an end of pursuit for the Gujarat police as two key members who were the part of core group which executed the blasts in the city are at large.

The police is also tracking around 50 small time operatives who were involved in executing the blasts in Ahmedabad and planted the bombs in Surat. Our job is not over yet.

We are in search of two other main culprits who were involved in the blasts. They are Taufiq Bilal, a Mumbai based techie and Qayamuddin, a Vadodara resident.

Many others involved were small operatives who are also yet to be nabbed, Crime Branch sources said. The Mumbai based computer engineer Taufiq Bilal whom the Joint Commissioner of Police Ashish Bhatia described as another mastermind in the serial blasts case is believed to have put together the bombs used in Ahmedabad, police said.

Taufiq, who was working with a subsidiary of computer industry gaint Wipro, is belived to have put together bombs three to four days prior to the blasts on July 26,police said adding that he had left the state before the July 26 blasts. Police also suspect his involvement in hacking the computer of American resident Ken Haywood, from whose Internet Protocol (IP) address the threatening e mail claiming responsiblity of the blasts by Indian Mujahadeen were sent to television channels.
