SRINAGAR: A youth was shot dead by suspected militants in North Kashmir, official sources said.

Noor Mohammad Gujjar, a resident of Gori-Hajan, was shot at by unidentified militants at Chati-Bandi in Bandipora district in north Kashmir this evening, the sources said. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the killing.
