No effect of trade union shutdown in Mumbai
Wednesday, August 20, 2008 13:12 [IST]

Mumbai: Life was normal in Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra Wednesday as people ignored the all-India shutdown called by Left-backed trade unions.

City and state police said that there were no reports of any impact of the shutdown and life was normal.

The Mumbai suburban railways network, public transport buses, taxis and flights operated as usual. All public and private offices, schools and colleges were also functioning as on every other day
