Chhindwara (MP):Demonstrating unity on the lines of Dabra conclave in the poll bound Madhya Pradesh, Congress leaders today called upon people to root out the "corrupt BJP government" from the state.
The clarion call came after a marathon meeting of senior party leaders here at the residence of Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Kamal Nath which also discussed strategies adopted for ensuring BJP s defeat in the assembly polls.
Besides Nath, the meeting was attended by senior party leaders including AICC general secretaries-Digvijay Singh, V Narayan Sami and Satyavrat Chaturvedi, PCC Chief Suresh Pachouri and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and decided that rampant corruption at highier levels, law and order and power crisis would be the main poll planks during the assembly polls.
After the meeting, AICC general secretary incharge of the state made it clear that as per the recommendations of the A K Antony Committee, nobody would be projected as chief ministerial candidate during the polls.
