Bomb blast kills 20 in Pakistan
Saturday, August 23, 2008 08:48 [IST]

Islamabad:At least 20 people were killed Saturday morning as a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden car into a police station in northwest Pakistan's troubled Swat valley, state television reported.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, or the Pakistan Taliban Movement, claimed responsibility shortly after the suicide bombing at the police station in Charbagh Tehsil, the TV channel quoted the police as saying.

The Taliban Thursday attacked an ordnance factory in Wah Cantt in Punjab province, killing at least 70 and injuring dozens.
