Mysterious fever claims three more lives in UP

Muzaffarnagar:Three more children died of a "mysterious fever," which spread to five villages in the district in two weeks, taking the death toll to 18.

Gudiya and Sania Mirza, both aged three and Minu (12) died yesterday, police said.

Blood samples were taken from the affected in Hasanpur, Jijoza, Maimagla, Sakoti and Kheri to verify the disease. Medical teams have been sent to these areas of Yamuna Trai region.

The disease has affected the adult and the children alike, but children made up most of the dead.
