Shock and disbelief was the order of the day at GN Khalsa College, Matunga on Monday, a day after the Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Mumbai police traced a threat email to an IP address from the computer cell of the college. The email mocked the Ahmedabad blast investigations and also warned of further attacks in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Students whispered amongst themselves about their colleges name cropping up in the investigations. "I cannot believe the fact that a college mate may be involved. I think the computer was hacked into and misused by terrorists," said Shyam Shah, a SYBCom student. The police questioned the college staff to find out which students were present in the computer cell between 7pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, when the mail was sent to media.
"Its scary that a person walking with us in the campus could be involved in terror attacks. We cant trust anybody," said Harpreet Kaur, a TYBA student.
"It is difficult to believe that students could be involved in this," said Manpreet Singh, a TYBA student. Already bothered by the media, many students refused to talk. "I think it is wrong to jump to conclusions and tarnish the colleges image," said Bhagyashree Kanade, a junior college student. Source : MMD English
