Hoax bomb call at Kurla railway station

Mumbai: Searches were carried out today at the suburban Kurla railway station after police received an anonymous call stating a bomb would be placed there.

"The CST Railway Police Force control room received a call last night stating that a bomb would be placed at the Kurla railway station which would explode between 0800 hrs (rpt 0800 hrs) and 1000 hrs," Shriniwas Mudgerikar, Chief Public Relations Officer for Central Railways told PTI.

However, railway police personnel and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad officials did not find any suspicious objects during the search, he said.
