Agartala: BSF nabs two ATTF insurgents

Agartala: BSF personnel have arrested two insurgents of the outlawed All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) and recovered 20 live AK-47 cartridges from their possession in Dhalai district, BSF sources said here today.

Acting on a tip-off, the border guards intercepted the ultras at Joshitilla, a village at the Indo-Bangladesh border and recovered twenty live cartridges from their possession.

The insurgents were returning from base camp of the outfit in Chittagong hill tracts of Bangladesh after completion of their training, the sources said adding, the arrested militants had revealed that there were as many as 35 insurgents in the camp.

The arrested insurgents would be handed over to the state police after thorough interrogation, they added.
