Five senior Naxals surrender in Nagpur

Nagpur:Five dreaded Naxalites, including a couple, surrendered today before the authorities in Gadchiroli district, police said today.

Suresh Harami, 40,a divisional level Naxalite, was also one among those who laid down the arms, they added. He was in the Naxal activities for past 17 years and was involved in many offences. Harami worked for Kurkheda and Kochhi Dalam, police said. Another top Naxalite includes Chandana Madavi, 26,who was Dalam commander of Kochhi. Yogesh Harami (27) and his wife Maini Pudo (21) along with Ramji Mannu Harami also surrendered, they added.

Police said today s surrender was very important since divisional member level Naxals have so far not surrendred. Suresh has confessed to police that more Naxals, who are fed up with the naxalism, are willing to give up arms struggle in near future.
