Militants infiltrate into India; 4 soldiers hurt

SRINAGAR: A group of militants cut the barbed wire fence and infiltrated into Indian side of international border in Kanuchak sector of Jammu on Monday night.

In another ceasefire violation, four Border Security Force (BSF) men were injured when their petrol party came under heavy fire from across the LoC in Poonch.

JB Sangwan, deputy inspector general of BSF Jammu frontier, said a BSF petrol party was fired upon on late Monday evening from the other side, in which four jawans were injured.

"They were on routine petrol when they were fired at causing injuries to four of them. They were rushed to hospital where one of them was admitted. He is out of danger. Three others were discharged as they had got only minor bruises," said Sangwan.
