Kerala CM resents Buddhadeb's comment on bandh
Wednesday, August 27, 2008 16:16 [IST]

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today resented the anti-bandh comment of his party colleague and West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

"I don t think he had expressed such an opinion. If he had said so, then it is wrong," Achuthanandan told reporters here.

Bhattacharjee had said in Kolkata yesterday that he would not support gheraos and bandhs and would speak out against such modes of protest even if his party gave a call for it.

Achuthanandan had justified last week s all-India strike called by Left trade unions. The Marxist stalwart had said that it was part of the struggles highlighting problems faced by the common man.
