Expatriate kidnapped in Nigeria

Nigeria:Nigerian police say kidnappers have seized an expatriate in oil-rich southern Nigeria.

Police spokeswoman Rita Inoma-Abbey says the foreigner was seized late evening in the southern city of Port Harcourt. She says the expatriate s driver has been arrested in connection with the incident and that no further details are immediately available.

Kidnappings are common in southern Nigeria and the victims are normally released unharmed after a ransom is paid.
