Thursday, August 28, 2008 11:31 [IST]

Jammu: The group spearheading the agitation for re-transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board would hold a meeting with the governor's panel headed by S S Bloeria today.

Convenor of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) Leela Karan Sharma has received invitation from the governor s panel for fourth round of talks to be held at a Guest House here around 1630 hours, Samiti's spokesperson Narinder Singh said.

"We have already submitted written demands to the governor's panel and are expecting a favourable response from them," he said.

The Samiti's committee which consists of Tilak Raj Sharma, Brigadier (retd) Suchet Singh, Narinder Singh and Pawan Kohli had earlier held three rounds of talks with the governor s panel on August 23 to arrive at some decision on the land issue.

However, the talks remained inconclusive and it was agreed by both sides that they would resume the discussions at a later stage.

Principal Secretary to the Governor, B B Vyas had earlier sent invitation to the convenor of the Samiti on August 18 for holding talks.
