Aurangabad: Three women were allegedly gang raped by six dacoits in the neighbouring Parbhani district this afternoon.
Two of the suspects - Hiraman Kale (27) and Bhagwan Pawar (32) - were later arrested in a swift action by the police. The dacoits attacked one house and took away three women to a nearby farm, where they were raped, police said.
The criminals decamped with nine grams of gold and a wrist watch, they said. The arrested dacoits were produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, which sent them in police custody. The episode comes close on the heels of a similar incident here in Central Maharashtra last month.
