Moga: Police on Wednesday registered a case against senior congress leader and former Chairman Market Committee Badhni Kalan Jagroop Singh under section 3,4 of the scheduled Casts and scheduled Tribes prevention of Atrocities Act 1989 on the complaint of one Akali leader Varinder Singh.

When Inderjit Singh was at Moga Punjab Roadways Bus stand alongwith some other persons and was about to board a bus, Jagroop Singh a senior Congress leader whom he nkew well since long alledgely named him with utter filthy language and threatend if he contrinued his suport to Akali Dal.

Jagroop Singh even thrashed his in the presence of many people.

When he was being thrashed by Jagroop Singh two other persons Jagseer and Gurpreet Singh intervened and saved him from his clutches.

Varinder Singh complaint belonged to Mazbhi Sikh community.

No arrest was yet made of Jagroop Singh.
