Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh government has accorded an administrative sanction of Rs 1.13 crore for renovation and construction of temples in the state.
Nine temples, maintained by the state government will be renovated by using these funds, an official release said adding Rs 38.50 lakhs has also been sanctioned for construction of seven dharamshalas.
Chouhan's announcement during his mass contact tours, with regard to construction and renovation of three private temples--Shastratha Sthal of Adi Shankaracharya at Mandleshwar in Khargone, Giriraj temple at Ganjbasoda in Vidisha and Shiv temple at Gamakar village in Vidisha, has also been implemented.
Besides, Rs five lakh has also been sanctioned for fulfilling the Chief Minister s announcement of construction of a dharmshala in Ujjain district. Also, renovation of ten private temples in Harda, Hoshangabad, Dewas, Shajapur and Ashok Nagar districts, would be undertaken as per the announcement made by Religious Trusts and Endowments Minister Kamal Patel.
