NSG waiver a victory of PM's vision: Deshmukh
Saturday, September 06, 2008 20:03 [IST]
MUMBAI: The success at the NSG meet in Vienna which resulted in the grant of the much awaited waiver to India to conduct nuclear commerce is a victory of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's vision and far-sightedness, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said.

India has taken an important step towards becoming self-reliant in energy needs, Deshmukh said, while hailing the NSG waiver.

The development would strengthen India's place among countries having nuclear technology, he said.
