12 injured in blast in court lock-up
Monday, September 08, 2008 17:04 [IST]
Chatra (Jharkhand):A total of 12 people, mostly undertrials, were injured when two crude bombs exploded in a lock-up in the district court here today, a senior police officer said.

Deputy superintendent of police Rajiv Ranjan said 76 undertrials, who were brought to the court for hearings, were in the lock-up when the explosion took place around 3.30 pm.

One undertrial was found missing during the headcount after the blast, he said.

The injured were rushed to hospital and police are investigating how the bombs found their way into the lock-up.
