Guntur: Villagers of Nizampatnam and six others gheraoed the special deputy Collector N Srilatha protesting Andhra Pradesh government's decision to acquire around 5,500 acres of land for constructing an industrial corridor, police said.

The State Government had decided to acquire the land in Nizampatnam and six other adjacent villages for this project, they said.

Besides, the villagers also laid a seige to the taluka office, police added.
