Ahmedabad: A girl was killed and three others hurt when four houses collapsed in the Khanpur area of the city, the police said Friday.

The incident occurred Thursday night at Mariam Bibi ni chawl. The girl died on her way to VS Hospital.

The police said the houses had been built on a drain and their foundations were shaky, which may have led to the sudden collapse.
