Kathmandu:At least six people went missing as two boats carrying seven people each capsized in river Koshi in Nepal.

One of the boats carrying seven people overturned in the Laukahi area of Sunsari district yesterday. Police rescued one passenger while six are still missing. Local divers along with the police have stepped up the search operation to locate them.

In a separate incident, another boat carrying seven people was swept away by a strong water current in the Koshi. However, police reached in time to rescue all passengers.
