Varanasi: Nepal today said the Himalayan nation is worried about the growing criminal activities along its border with India.
"Nepal is sensitive to the criminal activities on the Indo-Nepal border and it advocates for taking up the issue at legal and administrative levels," Minister for Law, Justice and Constitution Assembly Affairs of Nepal, Dev Prasad Gurung said.
"We will definitely do something about this," Gurung said while having an informal chat with mediapersons on the sideline of a two-day seminar India and Nepal: Partners for Democracy and Development at the Taj Gange Hotel here.
Batting for de-nuclearisation, the Nepalese minister said in this era of scientific, peace and development, there is no need for nuclear weapons.
On secularism in his country, Gurung said Nepal has now people have religious freedom and they can profess any religion of their choice.
Admitting the existence of threats from global terrorists, he said the problem could only be sorted out through mutual understanding among countries.
While responding to a query, the minister also said Nepal cannot become a link between India and China. Source : PTI
