Bainsala to march to Raj Bhavan on Oct 2
Sunday, September 28, 2008 10:50 [IST]
Jaipur: Kirori Singh Bainsala, who is spearheading the Gujjar quota agitation in Rajasthan, will march to the Raj Bhavan on October 2 along with his supporters to draw attention of the Governor and the Centre on the community's reservation Bill.

"We will march to Raj Bhavan from statue circle on Gandhi Jayanti," Bainsala, who is the patron of the Gurjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti, said.

He said the Bill had already been passed in the Assembly by a voice vote and it was pending with the Governor for his consent resulting in the loss of quota for Gujjars.

Stating that Governors of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra have given their approval on the Bills without delay, Bainsala demanded to know the reason why the Rajasthan Governor is delaying his consent on the same.
