Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 2.76 crore belonging to two state government officials, including deputy director of health department.
After searches conducted at three different places in the city as well as in Kadapa district, P Ramachandra Reddy, a section officer of Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department, was found having disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1.80 crore, according to a release from ACB here.
The searches were simultaneously conducted in the office at state secretariat and Reddy s houses at Warsiguda here and in Kadapa.
It was estimated that the market value of the movable and immovable properties belonging to the officer would be more than Rs five crore, the release said.
In another case, the ACB has found that K Appa Rao, Deputy Director in the same department, was having assets at Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam worth Rs 96 lakh, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Rao was also working as Liason Officer in the same department.
The cases of disproportionate assets against the two officers have been registered and searches are still in progress, it said. Source : PTI
