Attack on BJP leader's car condemned
Friday, October 03, 2008 07:19 [IST]
Coimbatore: Condemning the attack on the car of Tamil Nadu BJP General Secretary A Ramesh in Salem, the party national executive member S R Segar today termed it as another incident of both the Centre and Tamil Nadu governments "soft corner" towards extremism.

Segar alleged that the incident was the continuation of the event, in which a group of Periyar Dravida Kazhakam activists led by Kolathur Mani tried to prevent the state executive meeting of the party held in the town last month, a statement tonight said here.

The party would resort to massive agitation against the Government, if it failed to take action against those indulged in the violence, he warned.
