No arrests or detentions in Malegaon blasts

Malegaon: The Special Inspector General (IG) of Nashik range today denied reports appearing in a section of media that six persons were detained in connection with the recent blast in Malegaon.

A section of newspaper had reported that six persons from Malegaon and Chalisgaon were detained in connection with the September 29 blast killing four persons and more than 70 others were injured.

"Our investigation is going on and we are enquiring with various persons, but no one has been arrested or detained yet," S P Gupta told PTI.

Both Gupta and DSP Nikhil Gupta said that we have announced reward of Rs 50,000 for those giving information about the persons involved in the terrorist act.

Meanwhile, the situation in this powerloom town is under control and peaceful.
