Indore: Three persons were arrested for the killing of a postman, who was stabbed allegedly by contract killers hired by his wife, police said today.

Pradeep Kumar Sen, a postman at the Pologround post-office, was stabbed to death by two persons near his office on September 15.

Sanjay Gavande, who was allegedly having an affair with Sen's wife Sangeeta, was arrested in connection with the killing. The two killers have also been arrested.

Investigations revealed that Sangeeta in connivance with Gavande had hatched a plan to kill her husband, police said.

Sangeeta and Gavande hired two persons for Rs 20,000 to kill Pradeep, who had come to know about their illicit affair, they said.

Further investigation in the matter is on, police said.

Sangeeta has not been arrested as she is currently in hospital due to illness, they said.
