Jalandhar: Government Railway Police (GRP) today claimed to have arrested a Tantrik in a case of abduction and murder of a seven year old minor child, whose decomposed body was found from near the railway track in the third week of January this year.

Accused Tantric identified as Balbir Singh was arrested from district Faridkot and has confessed his guilt, police sources said.

It may be recalled here that as genital organ of the deceased Lokesh, who belonged to a very poor family, was missing it was being suspected that he was a victim of human sacrifice.

GRP officials revealed that the accused tantrik had confessed that he wanted Lokesh to beg for him but on the refusal of the child and to finish the evidences, he decided to murder the child

Sources revealed that Lokesh and his brother Amar was missing. But Amar had returned after managing to escape from the shackles of guilty Tantrik and Lokesh could not able to escape.

Police sources said that Amar was recovered by the district police from Jodhpur district of Rajasthan.

The accused had been remanded to police custody till October 10.
