Togadia slams Pawar for seeking ban on VHP
Wednesday, October 08, 2008 11:02 [IST]
Nashik: VHP leader Praveen Togadia today criticised Union Minister and NCP President Sharad Pawar for seeking a ban on his outfit and its youth wing Bajrang Dal.

"Pawar should study Hinduism before speaking about ban on Bajrang Dal and VHP," he said while talking to reporters here in North Maharashtra.

"Our religion does not encourage terrorism. Pawar should read `Ramayana and `Mahabharata to understand Hinduism," he said.

Togadia said all political parties, including Congress and BJP, have failed to prevent terrorists activities in the country.

Maharashtra is becoming a hub of terrorism. The September 29 bomb blast in Malegaon and communal riot in neighbouring Dhule point to this trend, the VHP leader said.

Togadia is the district to perform `pooja in a temple at Dindori near here.
