BSP to discuss problems faced by Muslim community
Thursday, October 09, 2008 13:22 [IST]
Lucknow: In a bid to consolidate its muslim vote bank in the backdrop of serial blasts in several states, BSP is going to organise a one day national convention on October 13 in the state capital here to discuss problems being faced by the community.

"We are organising a one day convention on the topic Problems of muslim community in India: Reasons and Solution in which party office bearers from all over the country will participate", Chief Minister Mayawati told reporters at a function here.

The convention assumes significance in the backdrop of serial blasts in several states, its Azamgarh connection and politics to woo muslims, sources said.
