Phagwara: In a hit-and-run incident, two persons were knocked down to death by a vehicle near GT road here.

The deceased were identified as Lal Bau Shah and Parmatma Shah, police said today.

The accident took place yesterday when the victims were crossing the road on their way back to Shanti Colony in Manohar Nagar, they said.

A case has been registered in this regard and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, they added.
