Chanderkot (Jammu and Kashmir): Prime Minister Manmohan SIngh inaugurated the first phase of the Baglihar hydel project over the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir here Friday afternoon.
The 450 MW first phase promises to alleviate the power problems of the state.
The prime minister was accompanied by COngress president SOnia Gandhi and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.
