Delhi serial blasts toll rises to 25
Friday, October 10, 2008 20:38 [IST]
New Delhi:  A young woman today became the 25th victim of the serial blasts in the national capital after battling for life for almost a month in a city hospital.

Santosh (25), a resident of central Delhi's Karol Bagh, had suffered multiple injuries in the blast in Gaffar Market on September 13 and was surviving on life-support system at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML).

She breathed her last at around 11 am, RML Medical Superintendent M K Chaturvedi told PTI.

The condition of Santosh was deteriorating day-by-day and she was put on a ventilator, he said, adding "her health improved in between but collapsed in the past few days."

He said 12 more patients, who suffered injuries in the blasts, are still undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Twenty-five people have been killed and about 100 were injured when Indian Mujahideen terrorists triggered five blasts in the city on September 13.
