Saturday, October 11, 2008 15:28 [IST]

Lucknow: Four people were killed and 15 critically injured when a tractor-driven trolley in which they were travelling overturned in Uttar Pradesh's Basti district, the police said.

"The incident took place Saturday morning in the Siyarpur village in Basti," Police Inspector R.P. Singh told IANS over telephone.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Basti, he added.

After attending a religious function in Siyarpur, about 300 km from Lucknow, the people were returning to their native villages Rampur and Hasanpur, the police said.
