Sant Kabir Nagar: A woman and a 10-year-old boy died of diarrhoea in the district today, an official report said here.

Suraj, a resident of Tenuhari village, was admitted to a community health centre (CHC) last night where he died this morning, Medical Officer of CHC N K Chaudhary said.

Also, about two dozen villagers of Tenuhari village are affected with diarrhoea, the report said.

While, Chief Medical Officer P K Bhadaura said health teams had been deputed to provide treatment.

Chlorine tablets are being distributed in the affected area, besides other medicines. The villagers are also advised to take precautions while drinking water and eating food, Chaudhary said.
