Clashes in Burhanpur were hatched by Gov: Congress
Monday, October 13, 2008 14:30 [IST]
Bhopal: Senior Congrss leader, Aslam Sher Khan charged today that the recent communal violence in Burhanpur town of Madhya Pradesh was the result of a conspiracy hatched by the State Government and the local administration.

The senior Congress leader told PTI that he had been deputed by the State Congress president Suresh Pachouri to visit Burhanpur and assess the situation there.

Khan said that the conspiracy appeared to have been hatched with an eye on the coming assembly elections since the ruling BJP wanted to polarise communities along religious lines there.
