Rape case of nun: Accused taken to Orissa

Palakkad: Three persons, arrested here in connection with the rape of a nun in Kandhamal district of Orissa, were taken to that state by the investigation team, police said here today.

The three -- Mitu Patnaik, Saroj Ghadei and Munna-- were arrested on Saturday from a rice mill, where they were working, police said.

A Magistrate court remanded them to police custody yesterday.

Orissa Crime Branch officials said that the arrested were prime accused in the case. More arrests would be made in the coming days, they said.
