Three killed in Nepal blast

Kathmandu: Three members of a family were killed Tuesday when a bomb exploded at a busy market in Nepal's southern district of Rauthat, a media report said.

The incident took place at around 4.15 p.m. (1030 GMT). A woman and her two sons were killed in the blast at Chandranigahapur Chowk, some 110 km from the capital, the eKantipur website reported.

According to witnesses, the three were waiting to board a bus when the bomb exploded that was hidden at a nearby fruit stall.

The victims are yet to identified, the police said.

Meanwhile, angry public have blocked the Mahendra Highway that passes through the market to protest the crime and blaming the government for not providing adequate security to the public.
