Five mild tremors recorded in Junagadh

Ahmedabad: Five mild tremors were experienced in Junagadh district today with the highest recorded at 3.3 on the Ritcher scale, district officials said.

"Five tremors were experienced between 17.00 hrs and 20.30 hrs which had its epicenter in the Kiloria village, 15 km north-east of Talala town," Deputy Collector of Junagadh district D K Mathukiya said.

"The first tremor was recorded at 17.03 hrs which measured 3.3 on Ritcher scale. Three subsequent tremors measuring 1.1,2.1 and 2.0 were recoded at 17.11 hrs, 17.22 hrs and 18.44 hrs," he said.

"The latest tremor which measured 3.3 on the Ritcher scale was recoreded at 20.16 hrs," Mathukiya said, adding that no casualties were reported from any part of Talala taluk.
